Weird twist in Jennifer Aniston split

JENNIFER Aniston and Justin Theroux may not even be married, according to US reports.

The Hollywood couple announced last week that they were heading for divorcebut TMZ is now claiming there is no evidence to suggest they ever got hitched in the first place.

The couple had a lavish ceremony at their Bel Air home in 2015, however, the website says it has checked marriage records in L.A. County all the way back to 2010 and there is no record of a marriage license for them, The Sun reports.

It does say there’s such a thing as a “confidential marriage license”, but state “we’re told they did NOT get one in L.A. County”.

The website claims to have spoken to insiders in Aniston’s group and they say there’s been “talk for a long time they might not be legally married”.

Meanwhile, the latest news comes as Aniston denied that she has been using her ex-husband Brad Pitt as a “shoulder to cry on” in the wake of her split from her latest marriage to Theroux.

But after much speculation that she could be heading back into the arms of her first husband Pitt, the former Friends star has said this is simply not true.

Her publicist rubbished reports by In Touch magazine that Pitt is being her “shoulder to cry on” as “another fabrication”.

Aniston and Pitt married in 2000, but split in 2005, with him going onto marry Angelina Jolie who he met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.

Meanwhile, Theroux and Aniston have been together since 2011, and got engaged in 2012.

The pair had met through mutual friends and had worked on a series of films together, including 2008’s Tropic Thunder and Wanderlust in 2011.

The couple wed on August 5, 2015.

But it wasn’t meant to be and the couple announced they were “lovingly” divorcing after just two years of marriage.

The Sun revealed how his “partying” had been one of the reasons for the split.

Other reports suggest that the couple argued about where to live, while a bizarre “bologna incident” only added to the tension.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Justin prefers living in New York and “that’s been a major issue for the couple for a long time”.

Although Aniston was initially happy to make a go of things in the city and moved into an apartment in the West Village with Theroux, 46, she found herself constantly being snapped by paparazzi.

The paps would often set up shop in a small park opposite the apartment to photograph the actress, 49, coming and going, which upset the neighbours.

The source recalled: “There was the construction, which is obviously a nuisance, but what really p***ed off the neighbours was just the constant commotion outside their door all the time with the photographers.

“It made for an awkward living situation for Jen and Justin because they knew the neighbours weren’t happy.

“Justin can hop on his bike, walk in the neighbourhood, hang at a bar and all that without being bothered, but for Jen, the paparazzi are all over her.”

At one point, Theroux found his beloved motorbike covered with bologna sausage slices, which is said to have infuriated the actress, who was convinced the neighbours did it.

The source said: “She just never really could get settled in, she wasn’t happy [in New York].”

The couple ended up selling the West Village apartment, but Theroux tellingly kept his Greenwich Village pad.

Although he would stay there when they were on the East Coast, Aniston would opt to stay in a luxury hotel.

Eventually, Theroux agreed to move to Los Angeles.

But his friendship circle was still in New York and he “constantly came up with reasons to return”, according to the website.

Although the couple “really wanted” to make things work, they couldn’t keep the marriage going and they split at the end of last year.

The statement, released by Aniston’s publicist, reads: “In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation.

“This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.

“We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.

“Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly.

“Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative.

“Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”

There are currently no additional details as to why they have decided to split.

Theroux and Aniston got together in 2011, and became engaged in 2012.

The real reason Jennifer and Justin split

JENNIFER Aniston’s hatred of New York doomed her marriage to Justin Theroux, friends say. The actress had tried to move to Manhattan after she fell for Theroux, 46, who owns a place in Greenwich Village, but Aniston, 49, “couldn’t deal with the paparazzi and the pokey apartment,” and retreated back to the privacy of her sprawling Bel Air, Los Angeles estate.

“Jennifer is more comfortable in Los Angeles with her close-knit group of friends,” said a source, adding, “But Justin doesn’t feel as at home in LA, nor with Jennifer’s friends, he loves New York, and the edgier crowd in the city.”

While the couple, who married in 2015 after dating for five years, spent a lot of time apart for work, he began taking more time alone in NYC.

The source added, “As they spent more and more time apart, their problems became bigger. He’s very focused on himself and his craft. And Jen is not the easygoing girl she wants the public to think she is. She isn’t as happy, and she is far more complicated.”

Putting further strain on the relationship, Justin’s career is busier than ever with upcoming films, On the Basis of Sex, Mute and The Spy Who Dumped Me. Jennifer, who still earns millions from product deals and Friends re-runs, has been taking on fewer big roles — her next movie is a comedy called Dumplin.

They announced their split last week, hours after Page Six contacted their reps about the separation, which we were told was initiated by Justin.

Uncomfortably, Aniston is on the cover of Architectural Digest’s brand new issue, showing off her and Theroux’s supposed Bel Air “love nest.” The article swoons, “Jennifer … crafts a scene of pure domestic bliss with husband Justin Theroux.”

She coos in the piece, “I look around at my husband and my dogs and our home, and there’s nowhere else I want to be.”

Tellingly, there’s no sign of Justin at the home. And on Thursday, as Architectural Digest editor Amy Astley hosted an NYC cocktail party to celebrate the issue, “Everyone’s phones started pinging with a news alert that Jen and Justin had split. It was all rather embarrassing. The magazine editors had no idea.”

Karl confirms engagement: ‘We’re very happy’

KARL Stefanovic has finally confirmed he dropped a knee and proposed to his girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough.

Speaking to TheFIX, the Today host revealed the couple’s plans to get married later this year and put a number of other rumours to bed.

“When Jasmine came into my life, I had no thoughts of new love or the future, but we are happy and grateful we found each other,” Stefanovic told the publication.

“We are yet to work out when we will get married, but probably later this year. We are both very happy.”

While a number of sources claimed Yarbrough was pregnant and her massive engagement ring cost more than $100,000, Stefanovic said none of that was true.

“Jas isn’t pregnant. The ring was made by Nic Cerrone and didn’t cost $120,000. Those figures are ridiculous,” he said.

“And there is no media deal. Don’t believe everything you read, unless it’s here.”

Stefanovic all but confirmed rumours the pair were engaged in an interview with Mick Molloy earlier this week when he agreed to let the Triple M host plan his buck’s night.

When Molloy told him, “I can’t wait for the wedding”, Stefanovic didn’t deny the claims or even try to change the subject.

“Let me tell you something,” he told Molloy and co-host Jane Kennedy. “What comes before a wedding is a buck’s … and Mick Molloy has put his hand up [to organise it].”

Before the Today host’s interview, his now-fiance was photographed numerous times sporting the huge ring.

The couple met on a lavish boat cruise in December 2016, following Stefanovic’s high-profile split with his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn. The TV presenter and his ex-wife share three children, Jackson, River and Ava.

Earlier this week, Thorburn spoke publicly for the first time about her ex-husband’s engagement to the Brisbane-born shoe designer.

“I am just focused on helping those affected by the ever-changing landscape of my ex-husband’s life, to navigate it,” Thorburn told Fairfax Media.

“His engagement doesn’t register with me on any other level.”

Fans go wild over Brad, Jen rumours

IT TOOK less than five minutes for the rumour mill to kick into high gear after news broke of Jennifer Aniston’s split from husband Justin Theroux.

Now, for the first time in 13 years, Brad Pitt and his ex-wife are both single at the same time.

Their marriage infamously ended in 2005 after Angelina Jolie entered the picture, but Jolie and Pitt broke up in late 2016.

It seemed Friends star Aniston had finally found her happily ever after seven years ago when she started dating Theroux, with the couple getting hitched in 2015.

But in a statement to the Associated Press on Friday, Aniston and Theroux announced they’ve parted ways, saying the decision was “mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year”.

The two actors assured fans that they remain “two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship”.

While many are mourning the breakdown of the seemingly rock-solid marriage, plenty of fans are over the moon at the opportunity — unlikely as it may be — to see Brad and Jen 2.0.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux split

JENNIFER Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced their separation.

The couple, who started dating in 2011 and got married in 2015, told AP the decision was “mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year”.

“Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,” the two said via a statement.

“Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”

The two actors assured fans that they remain “two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship”.

The announcement comes just a few days after Aniston celebrated her 49th birthday. The bash was hosted by her former Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, at her home in Malibu and was attended by a small group of women.

Just over a week ago Aniston showed off her luxurious $27 million Bel Air mansion in Architectural Digest and mentioned her husband in the interview.

“I look around at my husband and my dogs and our home, and there’s nowhere else I want to be,” she told the magazine, despite the fact the couple split last year.

The pair first met in Hawaii in 2008 when Aniston was holidaying and Theroux was shooting Tropic Thunder.

Theroux didn’t exactly make the best first impression though.

“I remember thinking, ‘Isn’t he hot?’ But he was actually really quiet,” Aniston said in an interview.

“I later came to find out that he was just exhausted because he had been writing non-stop, like a little hamster on a wheel. This was his one night off, and he had no personality, but he was very sweet and very overdressed. I was like, ‘You must be really shvitzing up a storm in those jeans and combat boots.’”

The two actors later reunited on the set of the comedy movie, Wanderlust, and romance blossomed. They went public with their relationship for the first time at an MTV Movie Awards after-party in 2011 and announced their engagement the following year.

“Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” Theroux’s rep told Us Weekly in 2012.

After a long engagement the couple finally tied the knot in a surprise wedding at their Bel Air mansion in 2015 in front of 70 friends and family members who thought they were attending a birthday party for Theroux.

Celebrities in attendance included Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, John Kransinski, Emily Blunt, Chelsea Handler, Will Arnett and Tobey Maguire.

Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were also there but none of the male stars from Friends were invited.

The wedding was officiated by talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, who got a little emotional at one point during the ceremony and started crying.

“He did,” Theroux confirmed after the event.

“And then … everyone did. And it was just … it was the perfect tone for the night.”

“He was extremely funny, kept things extremely light, was extremely touching.”

In April last year Theroux praised his wife in an interview with United Mags and called Aniston his “ally”.

“Marriage makes the small things much smaller and the big things small,” he said.

“You have an ally. It’s good to have someone have your back.”

Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt in July, 2000. The couple remained together until Pitt met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004 and we all know what happened next.

Idris Elba to marry for third time

VALENTINE’S Day came early for Idris Elba, who proposed to his girlfriend of less than a year, Sabrina Dhowre, during a screening for his new film Yardie.

According to The Sun, Idris, 45, and Ms Dhowre, 29, have been together since last year when they met while Elba was filming The Mountain Between Us in Canada.

Ms Dhowre is an American model of Somali descent, and a former Miss Vancouver. She posted on Instagram, where she has around 16,000 followers: “When you’re the brains in the relationship and he’s the beauty … @idriselba #justjoking”.

Elba was first spotted with Dhowre in Manchester in August 2017 and they went public with their relationship when they attended the premiere party for the film Molly’s Game, at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Rio Cinema in Dalston, London confirmed the happy news on Twitter.

Posting a photo of Idris, they wrote: “Another @riocinema first!

“Still 5 days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie”

They added: “She said yes and there was much clapping and cheering.”

Other followers confirmed they’d witnessed the happy event.

One tweeted: “At cast & crew screening of YARDIES & Idris Elba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina! Big Congrats!!”

Another added: “At cast & crew screening of @YARDIES & @IdrisElba just proposed to his girlfriend Sabrina! Big Congrats to you both!!”

And one wrote: “Idris Elba is off the market.”

Elba has been married twice before, to Hanne ‘Kim’ Norgaard from 1999 until 2003 and to Sonya Nicole Hanklin, a lawyer, in Las Vegas in 2006. According to The Sun, that marriage lasted six weeks before it fell apart under pressure from the actor’s friends who said being married would ruin his image as a rising sex symbol.

Elba is also a father to a 15-year old daughter, Isan, with his ex-wife Norgaard, and he has a three-year-old son, Winston, with his ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth.

Drew Barrymore’s ex busts her on dating site

DREW BARRYMORE has opened up about her epic fail at trying to find love in the digital age.

Speaking on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, Barrymore, said ever since she was a teenager, she’d “fantasised about going on a blind date” but couldn’t because of her fame.

So the actress, 42, who currently stars in Netflix series The Santa Clarita Diet, finally plucked up the courage to sign up to a private dating site Raya.

“I heard Amy Schumer saying she met her boyfriend on there, so I went on and no one responded,” she said.

Barrymore has been single for more than 18 months after separating from her third husband, Will Kopelman in early 2016.

The mother of two said: “I texted with this one guy and said, ‘Okay, sure, if you feel inclined to go for a drink, that’d be great. But zero pressure.’ I never got a response.”

Another potential match said he could meet up one night, so she told him when she was available. “It’s like as lame as it gets! He writes me back and he goes, ‘Oh, I’m gone for the holidays’. And that was it,” She laughed.

The actress then gave up, immediately calling it quits on the site, removing her profile. Or so she thought.

“Later on, I was in the kitchen with Will (her ex) and he goes “I just saw your profile. It came up on my phone.” she told Ellen.

“I go “When?” and he says, Like two days ago.”

The actress had Ellen and the audience in stitches at this point. “I was like, Motherf*****! I’m still on it! I’m still trying to get off the site!”

The actress continued having fun with Ellen, playing dress-ups and telling her how much she misses the warm L.A. weather. “You know, coming back to this weather, I really feel like an idiot moving.”

She currently lives in New York with her daughters Olive, 5 and Frankie, 3.
